![]() I drank for confidence, and to ease anxiety and paranoia.I struggle to "be normal".
Life is a battle for me but I can and am living without alcohol. |

![]() Benx, Confidence, anxiety, paranoia & trying to be normal are things we all have been through these things.
Try to be grateful for what you have. A sober person should find some satisfaction that they are not the drunk they once were. |

![]() Tryn,
My heart aches for you. I know a little of your pain, I feel it as you do from time to time. It is easy to feel the self pity, easy to get mired in it. I looked out my window this afternoon and the chipmunks were active. Two appeared to be playing but it was actually one chasing off the other. Protecting it's turf, it's hoard of nuts or perhaps competing for a member of the opposite sex? So what does this have to do with the price of tea in China? Well nothing...... life still goes on. Grieve for your self if you must but I prefer you more when you are engaged with others. Regards, Saint |

![]() Hi,
I read what you wrote and it is a very common reason for some people to drink. It gives you the Confidence you do not think you have , and it also cause's anxiety. When you stop drinking you will find confidence that you never knew you had! I suffer from Panic Attack's , so I take something for it ( my personal dr. support's & agrees that I need it , otherwise I would not take anything)! I wish you the Best ! Remember it is not just Day for Day , it can me minute for minute , everyone is different. Remember someone is always on this site , seeing we are all over the Country. It make's it easier to open up on this panel than with Family sometimes , Family tend to throw it back in your face , thinking they are helping . We are all just stranger's who all have different stories & share them to you to give you some more help & idea's ! ![]() Good Luck, gracie67 Last edited by gracie67; 03-04-2015 at 01:15 PM.. ![]() When life is a battle, alcohol can turn it into a war. Good for you for taking it out of the situation.

![]() Since it's been over a month since Benx has posted, maybe Gracie will want to start her own thread!
