Default Travelling with suboxone

Ill make this as short as I can.
Iam travelling on a plane out of state. I need to take a few strips of suboxone with me (only about three)to last me two weeks. I had to force myself to taper down from subs by quitting the program several months ago. I have been doing well. But Iam concerned that the strips will set off alarms or zrays and get me into an embarrising situation or any legal troubles because of how old the prescription actually is (like five months old). The subs are mine, not street purchased.
Does anyone know if this will be an issue? Or if metal detecters or xray machineare set kff by subs strips?

Hi j3783, they won't set off metal detectors or anything like that. Do you have the original prescription label that came with them - it doesn't really matter how old the prescription is, just that it's yours. It's always a good idea to have that when you travel. If you don't have the prescription, you might be able to print off your prescription history that shows they're yours on your pharmacy's website. Or give the pharmacy you got them at a call and ask if they're able to print one out for you.

Hope that helps. Have a good trip!

Nancy

This may be off topic but I heard that a suboxone prescription is only "valid" for 30 days. Has anyone heard anything like this.

Hi Wrl78, all schedule III prescriptions are only valid for 30 days from the time it is written to get it filled. Is that what you're thinking?
