Default buprenorphine and anti anxiety/depression meds

I was wondering if anyone here takes anti anxiety/depression meds with their buprenorphine. I have social anxiety disorder that might require me to start taking certain kinds of meds. Can I take these with the buprenorphine or do I have to stop first?

I believe there is some small danger reported with valium but it may have been overblown.

Those in recovery may want to use great caution using the benzodiazapines as they have their own issues of dependance. Buspar is fairly safe as I've read but Valium, Xaanax, ativan and the like can be worse then opiates for a lot of us. Trust your instincts and take care of yourself just use good judgement. Be honest with doctors with any misuse history

God bless

I take Pristiq (anti-depressant) and a small dose .5 of Xanax daily. Since starting Sub on 2/22, I was actually able to reduce the Xanax from 1 mg to .5, as I have had less anxiety. So, I did not have to stop first. I space them out. My doctor is fine with it ... I think the problems arise with people taking larger doses of Xanax or abusing it.

Try the natural remedies first and give them a fair shot. Avoid all Benzos at all costs. Unless used for a few weeks(sparingly) it does not take long to develope a tolerance. They also will cause more anxiety once you have reached a certain point. They are the absolute worst med to try to get off of.
