iamtrying, She has to want to stop on her own. Just another example of drinking consuming an alcoholic's life. It is proof of where we can go if we do not think through that 1st drink. Us recovering people are blessed with a daily reprieve on what is most important in our lives.

Congratulations on 33 days.

Doesn't it feel good that you no longer have to feel the way she was feeling.

You might think about what would say if it happens again. Some folks feel comfortable talking about it, and sharing phone numbers, or the number to AA. Some folks never feel comfortable. Don't kick yourself. Just be grateful. Seeing her is what helps us stay sober.

Congratulations iamtrying.

Although I've never drunk at work, your story reminds me of the times I've tried to convince myself that people wouldn't be able to tell I was drunk. It makes me embarrassed to think about it, and remembering things like that is helping me moment by moment and day by day to pursue sobriety.

Good afternoon I Am Trying. Bright blessings to you.

The first thing i would like to say is i knew the bestest folk in this great big crazy world are recovering alcoholics!! What a thouroughly lovely human being you are to recognise, give a hoot and ponder pathways forward.

If i was you, depending, slip her a note with local helpline numbers, but i am afraid the smart money has to go to the poor thing herself. She does need to reach out. Reaching out to others who "dont want it" is usually extremely messy.

A scrap piece of paper, can save a life though?

I hope you recognise about yourself you will have strengths and weaknesses, and that your compassion and kindness, in equal measure to others and yourself, will provide you with a fine and eclectic life.

You have made my day.

Be peaceful, keep that lovin', loveness to you I Am Trying.

Good morning...

Thank you RLee, Susie, SecretTiger and Tryn and all...

Day 34 no drinks...feeling good...

Again, remembering, one day at a time, I am responsible for my actions and their consequences...thinking thru the first drink...

Thanks for all the thoughts and kind words, Though i never drank during work, it was most of the time the evenings and nights that haunted me to drink...I realized how easy it is for people to recognize when drunk...Hope that lady comes to terms with her drinking mind...it's all in the head...I will try to check next time when I go there....

Have a great wonderful day...

We CAN learn lessons from others. I don't like to remember how I was when I was drunk, but remembering helps keep me from going back there.

Unfortunately we cannot make anyone else do what we're learning to do.

Good afternoon I Am Trying. Bright blessings to you.

Oh, I Am Trying, oh, oh, bless you!!!

May i put it this way.

An alcoholic wandering down the corridors of sobriety, knocking doors, opening some, closing others, now on a journey 37 days old?

I Am Trying, do me a favour?.......Bore the bejeezus outta me! For you to take time to share with us that today is day 37 means it is imortant to you. Here, if it is important to you, it is important to all of us.

Over in Blighty we say, "no news is good news". Here it works in reverse.

So, imagine if you will. This morning i walked into a gale, head on at 7.30am. For 30 minutes i almost adopted the "crawl swimming motion" with my arms, goodness i must have looked like a duck out of water flapping away!!! I got there in the end.

When the wind is enabling my lips to brush my hair, i think of all my brothers and sisters in the big place, and to hear a fellow alcoholic is 37 days sober means i can find more strength in my legs. Butterfly wings I Am Trying. An action causes a reaction. All over this big and beautiful world.

Today you have touched me. You have kept me sober. How boring do you want to get?

Be peaceful, keep focused, keep sharing, Loveness to you I Am Trying.

Wow, good job iamtrying, Keep it up. You reminded me of myself a year ago, when I was still an alcoholic and trying to recover. It’s a good start for you, you’re strong and very motivated to recover. I’m not surprised that you can stay calm and sober, and I adore for that. (Just to share) Attending some AA meetings would also help in recovery, you can search a rehab center that provides a treatment program through internet, like this Drug Rehabilitation Center Corona that i manage to look for you, or to anyone else that might accidentally wonder in this thread, though it's a random site, but it includes some treatment method. My point is, Guys try to browse the net and read some article pertaining to a treatment programs like this one, believe me, it will help you a lot. Anyway, We all know that we’re still on the process of getting recovered, it's a long, wide road for sure, I just hope we could be sober for a long time. Don't forget to update me, i will surely love to read it.

Day 41 no drinks feeling good....

Again, remembering, I am responsible for my actions and their consequences, one day at a time, think through the first drink....Prioritize, Plan and be Prepared ... Nobody, hates you because you don't drink...easy and relax, The most beautiful thing is you don't have to do anything, just stay calm...

Something I remembered..from Lion King movie..I tweaked a little bit

You have forgotten who you are and so have forgotten me. Look inside yourself, Simba. You are more than what you have become. You have taken place in the Circle of Life …good for you…

Thanks again to all ....I feel empowered that I have my back covered and being watched by all you wonderful people..

Repetition is how we rehardwire the brain. Keep it up!

We should all have our own mantra for recovery.

Many recovery programs give all credit to others and/or a higher power. They miss that fact that each one of us is responsible for our own decisions, actions, and consequences.

I applaud your attitude, your program, and your recovery.

You know the worst is over! Isn't that a kick! Congratulations.

Good afternoon I Am Trying. Bright blessings to you.

I have to say that your energy is so pure it bounces up off the screen and effects me in such a very good way. You have a guidance system that keeps you very focussed. Sustainable journeys mean you can believe in it a bit more everyday. Where life once was and would always be, now it has changed, your embracement of change the finest clean emotional air another can breathe.

Thank you for your injections of positivity.

Keep moving forward a day at a time. You do not have to try to do that, keep doing what you are doing and you will wander through a world of change. Enjoy. Loveness to you I Am Trying.

Good morning

Thank you Tryn, RLee, Susie and lostdog and all

Day 47 no drinks ...feeling good..

Wow! nice morning...every sat morning I appreciate more than the previous one..I remember how bad my Sat mornings used to be...with guilt and hangover. I am glad don't have those moments anymore...

Again, remembering, one day at a time, I am responsible for my actions and their consequences, think through the first drink....easy and relax...smile, smile, smile and smile .......no need to please anybody, be you and do the right thing...

Thank you all for your support...means a lot to me....

Have a great wonderful weekend...stay sober and stay safe and peace.

Gradually, I think we are all beginning to internalize your mantra. Thank you.
