Nice to hear from you Saint...hope things will get better...every relationship leaves a scar on the mind...some heal and some don't but they fade away with the time. But they make mind more stronger...deal with it one day at a time...Hope your leg will get better and start pounding on the run....

have a great day and 4th of july...stay vigilant...peace friend

My daughter and I will be boarding a plane shortly for a trip to Calgary, then Banff, Alberta Canada. Have a safe holiday weekend and think through that first drink.

Peace,
Saint

Still on vacation Lee in British Columbia. Beautiful, scenic country. We've been to Calgary, Banf, Lake Louise, Athabasca glacier and in Fairmont Springs at the moment. Great trip, white water rafting tomorrow and then back to Calgary for a flight out on Sunday.

Hope all is well.

Take care,
Saint

Hi Saint, I'm very envious. You're in such beautiful country! It's probably even more beautiful for you because you're with your daughter. Enjoy the rest of your vacation!

The Canadian Rockies are, well no one word to describe God's hand at work!

Flying home tomorrow for some much needed rest!

Iamtrying I can walk, running is a struggle. I have a ways to go and may not get there. It discourages me at times but I will work at it and see where that takes me. One door closes, another opens. That's what I tell myself...

Thank you all.

Someone inquired about P.A.W.S. Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome. Google it and I'm sure you'll find some relevant imformation. The effects of alcohol withdrawal can be felt for a considerable time once sober.

Knowledge is power...

I'm glad you're choosing to deal with your emotions. I've found that when we bury them, they just come back worse later with a nice little salting of regret. Hope you have a good day today.

I'm fine Alexis...

Ran a couple of miles at the gym and drove home, the long way, with the music turned up way too loud. It feels good to be alive, and sober!

Peace,

Hey Saint,

As a runner with my own assortment of injuries, I'm delighted to learn that you're back out on the roads. Well okay, back at the gym.

Still, you are running again!

Stay with it. Slow and sure is ok. Give it time and you'll get back every step you lost.

Oh, and I too learned that loud, loud, very LOUD music is less than ideal when a guy gets older. As in, please turn the TV up just a little more. Please.

Ha!

Truth is, it is very hard to beat loud music and taking the long way home...

best,

sam

Millie, Rlee, Sam,

Thank you. It's not running as I remember it...it is a struggle but small progress week to week. Out on the roads with the bike today for about an hour. Great weather for a ride.

Peace,
Saint

Progress is a gift too. Progress, not perfection... who said that?!

Still envious of your bike riding, and thinking tomorrow might be the morning I go to a shop. You've inspired me (again).

Hope you're having a good day.

I was planning on running the Marine Corp. Marathon this fall as a charity runner. I forfeited my 'race bib' yesterdayso that another will get an opportunity to participate. Although this was a marathon I have wanted to participate in for the past three or 4 years fate has always gotten in the way. My injury and rehab has not progressed to the point where I could train at the level needed. I have already purchased the plane ticket so I may still attend as a spectator or perhaps volunteer race day.

Regards,
Saint

It would be so cool to go and be a volunteer for that. I'm really sorry you can't run it. I was sidelined for many months a couple of years ago and had to give up a few half marathons, and it just sucks. But now I do wish I'd volunteered at them.

Are you planning on trying any shorter races with less rigorous training plans?

You are a cool guy Saint go vollunteer at the race, you will make other peoples day great i know it.

Sam "it is very hard to beat loud music and taking the long way home" so true! I miss having a car & going down the lanes, singing my heart out. I used to drive in the hills, stop for a while. Watch the world go by.

Living in Manchester, i dont really need a car anymore. The buses are too good (sorry Tryn )

Love to you Saint. x
