Red face New to this Forum

Hello so here I am it's been about 12 years I've been addicted to opiates. I got clean last year went to a six-month drug rehab while I was there I found out I had hepatitis C I was blessed enough to get harvoni free of charge and got rid of my hepatitis. However I chose to relapse well I didn't choose it you know how it goes. I am currently back on Suboxone taking 8 milligrams a day and my family does not know I have hardly anyone to talk to about it I went back to you my doctor yesterday and found out that my hepatitis has resurfaced I probably got reinfected I am so ashamed of myself I am about to start lowering myself on Suboxone and could use the support I have become a professional at lowering myself and getting the right things like over the counter medications to get through withdrawal symptoms. I have two jobs though and don't think it will be so easy to get off this time being that I don't have six months to relax and get through it. I have mixed feelings about getting off it because my anxiety is so bad even six months later I remember feeling like I was struggling to get through every day and I don't want to live like that. I don't see the harm in being on a low dose of it but then again I do. Anyways not going to ramble on just wanted to introduce myself and tell you what I'm going through I look forward to talking to other and getting through this part of my life yet again thank you for your support

Hi Ginger322, can I ask you why you're looking to stop Subxone at this point in time? Or are you just looking to reduce down to your lowest dose? Will you be starting HepC treatment again soon too?

This is a good thread to read - it's the phases of treatment. It might help in making your decision.

Sorry for the questions.
