Default Does Florida Mediciaid pay for Suboxone?

Yes they do. There are a lot of guidelines that insurance companies use to deny you because most of the workers are lazy and encouraged to deny. Then they blame it on Medicaid's guidelines they must follow. My advice is find out the guidelines, like prior authorization which your doctor must fill out, supervise it, because doctors office staff is lazy too, and make sure all of the proper diagnosis and coding is provided and they will approve it
Also you have to have a Suboxone certified doctor. Some Internal Medicine doctors are certified. If one is on your plan I would switch them to your primary. Also check out each psychiatrist under your plan to make sure they are certified. Also keep in mind that most Insurance providers have separate companies for behavioral issues so you can check out their medical providers as well. Here is site that has a list of Suboxone doctors that take Medicaid but please note there are a few Doctors I know are certified that are not on the list so it may not be 100% complete. Good Luck
