Thank you everyone for the positive feedback. I really appreciate it. Had a trying morning today. My son he to go to the dentist (he hates the dentist), novacaine the whole nine yards. He's getting better with the dentist tho. I will let everyone know how the interview goes tomorrow after I get home. These past couple of yeas have been filled with ups and downs and relapses and so on. But I'm pushing through. I have to say that having my antidepressants help me cope and having the support of everyone here helps tremendously.

The ups and downs will always be there, but the drinking doesn't have to be. (That's what I'm telling myself. Even if it hurts to be overwhelmed, it's ultimately so good for us. If we don't drink our way through trying experiences, we can actually learn from them!)

Good luck with the interview!

Well, it's Thursday. I had my interview yesterday and I haven't heard back yet. Hopefully I got the job. I need something to occupy my time besides housework. Lol. Just waiting is a pain. Watching "Mysteries at the Castle" on Travel Channel. History is my favorite. I love anything to do with history. I love English history too. The Monarchs, the Tudors, the white queen just to name a few of my favorites. Having a good day but the house is so cold but it's nice outside. I don't get it. Mother Nature can't make up her mind. I want the summer back!!!! Have a good day everyone and enjoy the evening.

Lots of hugs!!

Good evening Mommy2. Bright blessings to you.

Oh how wonderful....how exciting!! I shall have all my fingers and toes crossed for good fortune around your interview.

Ahhh the ole "chill in the bones" house. Give the house a good couple of days of heart n heat. Get those walls and ceilings lovely and warm. Then top up during the winter. Ever so important to keep yourself nice and cosy and warm.

History is quite the most pure form of knowledge. To discover history for oneself, on ones own journey quite sublime. The amount of times you will say to yourself......"AAHHhhh!!!.....I see now"....we are the sum of our parts, we are our history.

Do let us know asap about your interview.

Be peaceful, be healthy and be strong. Loveness to you Mommy2

Mommy2 - You sound good and positive! That's awesome!

I'm also waiting on a pending job.....I have given it to the Lord, if I keep it 'in my head' I get even more crazy than I normally am.

But, no matter what, job or no job, there is nothing today that is worth drinking over. I think that is awesome! Have a great day! Jenm

Thanks to everyone. I feel AWESOME! Like JJ said, I'm not giving in. No more temptation- even though there was a thought in my head when I was doing my running around. I thought I could just go into the beer distributor. Didn't happen though! Just taking it one day at a time.

Lots of hugs!!!! Sending them worldwide!

I'm doing ok. Thank you for asking Millie. It's been crazy!!!!! I cleaned all day Saturday and I'm still not done with the house. My sons birthday is on the 18th of December and I'm going through toys and clothes and all that fun stuff. My feet hurt, my hips hurt, everything hurts! I feel very accomplished today. Enjoying a nice hot cup of tea before bed, relying by the fire with the family. Have another crazy day head of me tomorrow. A doctors appointment for my son, lunch with my sister and nieces, then home to make a pumpkin cheesecake. Cook dinner and then go the library for my kids to read with a wonderful dog named Rosie. If I don't get on here, everyone have a wonderful and sober Thanksgiving. Think through that first drink no love to all!

Blessings and Hugs!

Hey everyone. Happy December. Very very crazy month. My husbands birthday, my sons birthday, my sister in laws birthday, Christmas. Just NUTS! It's like this every year.

Millie,

Thanks for turning me on to a cup of tea at night. It really helps me wind down and get to sleep too. I have been drinking the Tazo Zen tea. It really relaxes me.

Happy Holidays!

M2, The Holidays plus all those birthdays. Stay vigilant this time of years is tough for many alcoholics.

Hey guys,

Well, it's been crazy and still not done yet. Haven't even started Christmas shopping for the kiddos yet. I got the job at the school! So, I'm very elated about that.

I've been dreaming about drinks though. Does anyone else dream of taking some drinks or shots. In the dream I fell tipsy but when I wake up I'm fine. I almost think that I did but I know I didn't. My daughter would keep me in check lol.

I even found that drinking soda out of a wine glass helps me too. I'm not drinking wine but I am drinking soda and I still have the feeling that I'm with the crowd lol. Holidays are always tough though when you're trying to sop the drinking.

Bye all. Have a great day and I have parent/teacher conference this afternoon

Happy Holidays!

Yep, I've had those dreams. Not too often, thank goodness. Mostly in mine I have just a bit, but it affects me terribly and I end up very drunk and everyone notices.

Congratulations on the job!

Mommy2, Most of us have those dreams. They are normal. The longer you are sober they will have less impact.
