Default Generic soon??

I have heard rumors from a few different people that a generic for suboxone is coming out soon. Has anyone else heard about this? Is it even true?

Hi benn11, that rumor has been around for a while now. Last I heard, generic companies were getting close to getting the naloxone/buprenorphine formulation right. It was easier to produce the Subutex generic, because the naloxone wasn't involved. Hopefully there will be a generic -one soon and that will make the treatment more accessible cost wise.

deedle, Suboxone and Subutex's 'Orphan Drug' status which gave Reckitt Benckiser exclusive marketing rights were up in October, 2009.
