Thank you everyone. I am so grateful for all of you. Thank you so much for the kind and encouraging words.

Tryn, you asked why... Well... you are right about my body wanting sugar and not really alcohol. That is absolutely true, which is why I made sure to eat... but I think I hadn't eaten enough. When I burn through 700 or 800 calories in one exercise, I need to force myself to eat more than a leftover half sandwich...

But I also, historically, have rewarded myself for long runs with drinking. As if I earned it. And I that trigger appears to be stronger than I thought, with the added mental fog of the blood sugar low. I have a half marathon in a week and a half, and I'm going to have to seriously be vigilant.
